It’s time to go deeper, baby. In our core, that is. (Wait, that still sounds dirty.)
“I’m going to walk you through a deep core workout today,” says Lia Bartha, founder of the intentional Pilates movement known as B The Method, “focusing on how we can access the very, very deep core muscles of the trunk, the pelvic floor, the lower abdominals, the rectus abdominals … all of the above.”
Basically, the ab gang’s all here.
For this workout, she uses a 9-inch stability ball, the only equipment you need.
It begins with a quick warmup to get the core muscles ready and create some spinal mobility. Then, she goes through around four minutes of finding “that deep internal heat.” (Read: your abs are going to be on fire the entire time, but you’ll feel so accomplished when it’s all over.)
