Kourt tried lots of skincare products during her pregnancy, and she’s found some favorites. Not only do these help nourish the body during pregnancy, but they also make for some luxurious “me time” that all mamas deserve.
“People are always asking me what I used to prevent stretch marks, and I think the key is keeping your body moisturized,” she says. “I would do it in the morning and then later in the evening after a shower or bath. Body oil or body butter and then creams.”
These days, she’s keeping things a bit more simple. “I need to be super mindful when holding the baby, so I only use organic coconut oil right now. I usually try to find one that’s unscented and food-grade,” she adds. “I use it on the baby too so we just need one jar. Less is more for us.”
Below, read about all the creams, lotions, and oils Kourt used and how they can help during pregnancy.
Kourt says she used this body scrub “around three times a week.” This gentle exfoliant is safe to use both pre- and postpartum and creates the perfect base for all of the creams and oils ahead.

For her “tiny surgery scar,” Kourt used the Restorative Scar Treatment from Nemah. This non-greasy cream fades scars and also helps strengthen the skin barrier.

“I oiled my whole body twice a day, from my neck to my toes,” says Kourt. “Sometimes I added a body butter or a magnesium rub, which is great for the feet.”
The magnesium cream can ease discomfort during the second and third trimesters by supporting relief, relaxation, and that much-needed restful sleep. Meanwhile, the body butter works to tackle stretch marks and skin firmness.

Body oils can ease itching and tightness, hydrate the skin, and even improve the appearance of scars during postpartum.
As for what was in Kourt’s rotation, there were a few. “I would finish one whole bottle of body oil and then try another,” she says.
Some of her go-tos were C & The Moon’s Malibu Made Glow Oil, the Pure Mama Belly Body Oil, and the Nemah Nourishing Belly Oil.
“Surya Spa Custom Mama Baby Oil was probably my all-time favorite,” she adds. “You can customize it with milks, oils, and herbs for postpartum.”
