Kourt’s PROTEIN OATMEAL

It’s time to fuel up. Luckily, Kourt has shared her go-to protein oatmeal that will keep you fueled all morning.

The recipe is simple enough—Zego Organic Double Protein Oats, almond milk, cashew butter (or your nut butter of choice), and your desired toppings (Kourt likes to add cinnamon, a few pinches of Celtic salt, currants, and occasionally a bit of maple syrup when she wants it a little sweeter).

If you want to enjoy yours the Kourt way, make sure to have a glass of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.

Kourt’s Protein Oatmeal

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups almond milk
2/3 cup Zego Organic Double Protein Oats
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of Celtic salt
4 tablespoons cashew butter
1 tablespoon currants or desired amount
2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)

Instructions:

1. Combine the milk, oats, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. 
2. Stir until it starts to bubble, about two minutes.
3. Reduce heat to simmer, and cook, stirring occasionally, for eight minutes.
4. Add the nut butter, and mix thoroughly.
5. Split into two portions, and plate with a side of currants.
