Kourt: Hey guys, I’m here with Sarah, one of my best friends since high school and today, she’s gonna show us how to make a lip scrub.
Sarah: Ok, so this is a do-it-yourself lip scrub it’s super easy there are only three ingredients and… it’s edible, so it’s all-natural, amazing. So this is Manuka honey and honey is a natural humectant and binder which means that it will basically trap all the moisture inside. This is organic coconut oil and it’s all-natural, I’d literally keep a vat of it next to my counter and I use this as a makeup remover and then I was my face after.
Kourt: Every time?
Sarah: Every time. I love it! It’s so good for your skin.
Kourt: Oh my gosh, I want to do that.
Sarah: And, your sister, Khloe, loves it for her hair,
Kourt: Yeah. I did know that.
Sarah: It’s really good for hair too.
Kourt: And I use it on my body.
Sarah: And it’s really good for your body, it’s actually one of the best all-natural shavers, ever. When I use to shave my legs,
Kourt: Really?
Sarah: Now, I don’t have to shave because I laser…This is organic sugar in the raw, and it’s just a very, very natural soft, exfoliator…Ok, we shall start. Very easy.
Kourt: K
Sarah: 1 tablespoon.
Kourt: of what?
Sarah: Honey.
Kourt: Honey. Manuka honey.
Sarah: Then we do, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and… you want it at room temperature because it’s easier to mix. Basically, you want to do a teaspoon but do it kind of to touch of the sugar in the raw. So, if you feel like this is too pasty, you can actually take some of the oil from your coconut oil and pour it in, but ours is not pasty at all we actually did a perfect consistency… So now that we’ve created our lip scrub, which took about 20 seconds, we’re going to actually use it… Take a clean finger, so I’ll take my middle finger since I just licked that one, and you want to apply to your lips in this circular motion. Look at you eating that (to kourt), I don’t think it’s gluten-free Kourt.
Kourt: I think it is.
Sarah: I think you’re ruining your diet.
Kourt: It is gluten-free.
Sarah: And then you just tissue it off.
Kourt: I kind of, would rather… lick it off… It’s so good.
Sarah: I use it actually every single time before I apply matte lipstick, especially if you apply a bold lip color. Like you like to use all of your red lipsticks, this helps to keep it in place and secure it so that it doesn’t bleed into the fine lines around your lips… So, here is our final, DIY lip scrub, and this will last up to two weeks and it’s a great gift.
Kourt: So excited!
