Tell me about your first time … picking out a vibrator.
Though many years have passed since losing my vibrator virginity, I still remember the intimidation and confusion I felt that day as I stared at the giant wall of sex toys in Hustler Hollywood.
I wish Dame had been around back then. The company is female-founded by sexologist Alexandra Fine and MIT engineer Janet Lieberman. Women designing devices for women’s needs—we love to see it.
More specifically, I wish the Fin Finger Vibrator had been around back then. This cute lil vibrator is a great “starter” model because it’s easy to use with three unintimidating intensity levels.

Sometimes holding a toy during partnered sex can be distracting. Not this one. The Fin’s petite size and detachable finger band are designed to be a natural extension of your fingers, making for worry-free maneuvering. And, ofc, it’s good for solo play as well.
There’s just one caveat: It’s not the quietest toy I’ve ever used, especially on the highest setting. I don’t find it distractingly loud, but I wouldn’t exactly pull it out in a discreet situation.
I debated on sharing this but here we go. If I’m fingering myself and my partner is inside me, I get a little worried I may accidentally jab his d*ck with my fingernails, which are pretty long. (I know my brain is weird, but I can’t possibly be the only one with this concern, can I?)
Like many of my anxieties, this has never actually happened. But this vibrator removes that worry entirely because it requires less movement for stimulation.
Oh, and my fiance? He’s also a fan. 😉
