Blue Pure 411i Max
Price: $170
Blueair
You don’t have to head to the mountains for a breath of fresh air. It’s becoming more common and—sorry to say it—necessary to make sure the air in your home is high-quality breathing material. This top-of-the-line air purifier can tackle a large space, and the filter lasts a long time.
Decline of the Sweet Tooth
Over the last few years, we’ve been cutting out processed sugars due to their effects on inflammation and aging, not to mention weight management and cravings. We’ve been paying close attention to blood sugar and how major spikes can cause a cascade of issues. Balancing our blood sugar is having a unique effect—way less cravings for sweets. As people get more educated about their blood sugar, the need for sweets is on a major downtrend!
This Moment Hand Care
Price: $30
Superegg
Hand cream is hand cream is hand cream. Right? Wrong-o. Our hands are constantly exposed to the elements and start showing age pronto. Even when we’ve got dewy, glass-like cheeks, our hands tell another tale. Tons of new hand products are emerging with ingredients like niacinamide, retinoids, and SPF. We see that becoming more of a priority in 2024 and beyond. We won’t be overlooking our digits.
The “new-year-new-me” concept has us feeling a little more than overwhelmed, but habit stacking is the answer to keeping our ‘whelm levels right in the Goldilocks spot. Instead of trying to do everything at once, the new trend of habit stacking asks that we only pick up one new thing at a time and introduce small changes, amendments, or additions only when we feel ready to take on more. Smooth sailing to success, baby.
Don’t get us wrong. We love love. But research is showing that joy doesn’t have to be an achievement found only in coupledom. Life is not an ongoing quest or a means to a marital end, but rather a journey and experience that is fulfilling in every moment—alone, with friends, or with a lover. We’re embracing single freedom as just as powerful an existence as one with a partner.
Yoga Ball
Price: $24
Trideer
Those giant exercise balls may seem like a voluminous thing of the past that’s only found in gyms, ergonomic offices, or with women about to birth or who have recently birthed. But their pelvic floor benefits are great for everyone all the time, and they are excellent for effective lower body workouts. Plus, you can get cute covers for them that make them look like furniture.
Discomfort to Growth Pipeline
Acupressure Mat Set
Price: $78
WTHN
While we love convenience and being comfy, we realize that without uncomfy moments, we simply cannot evolve. Whether that pain is emotional, mental, or physical, there is much to be said about the you that emerges on the other side. This even comes into play when relaxing or engaging in meditative modalities like this acupressure mat. Definitely not comfy at first, but once the pain turns into a wave of warmth, the aftereffects are bliss.
When we think of lasers at the derm, we think high-powered. Aggressive payment plans. Days, maybe weeks of downtime. But wait. Although that can all be true, depending on the laser, there are tons of different intensities, wavelengths, and purposes for various lasers out there. Some of them, like the V Beam red laser at double-board certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Lauren Moy’s office, are done in five minutes with zero redness or downtime and major results. We will be seeing a lot more laser skincare options this coming year.
Non-Negotiable Scalp Care
DUO 4-in-1 Pod Based Scalp & Hair Care Device $260
Price: $260
Laduora
Our everything showers have been feeling a little extra lately with scalp oil routines and post-wash hydrating serums. But soon, it won’t seem so extra. The skin on our scalp needs similar TLC to the skin on our face. Consider it the soil for a healthy garden to grow. Tilling it is vital, and who doesn’t love a scalp massage?
Next-Level Sun Protection
SPF is nearly impossible to realistically apply every two hours every day. (We mean, are we really dolloping a hefty dose right over our makeup? What about us breakout-prone girlies?) But there is new tech on the market that we will be seeing a lot more of. The brand Pavise touts an anti-breakout formula and eight hours of protection. They are so confident in their product, they offer a mini UV camera to check out your coverage at the end of the day to confirm its test of time. It holds up.
