In a video compiled by Vogue.com, the publication shared a mashup of top beauty hacks, secrets, and tricks from Kourt, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie over the years. The roundup touches on a myriad of subjects that will make any beauty enthusiast swoon: from how the sisters apply makeup differently to which discontinued products they swear by and the one thing they all agree on: sunscreen is a must (Poosh concurs!).
Below we’re highlighting the beauty secrets from each sister so you can learn how the Kardashian/Jenners glam when their squad isn’t around. Watch the full video here.
ON MOISTURIZER: “Even if I’m already moisturized for the day, I put on moisturizer again.”
ON FOUNDATION: Kim puts foundation on her hand first, and then “just kind of
mix(es) it.”
ON BROWS: “For brows, I use an Anastasia pencil.”
ON BLENDING: “When you are a mom, you have no time to blend like this, so unless I have work and I’m getting my hair and makeup done, I do not have time to blend all day. So I’m trying to do it as quickly as possible.”
ON CONTOUR: “After I bake, I do cream contour. I still have to bake my crease. Instead of drawing the lines on my face, I like to keep it a little more natural.” Kim starts in the middle of her forehead and makes a “3” shape around the eye, and then down her cheekbones. She finishes the three right under her chin.
ON LIPS: “For lips now, I have been loving a dark liner. So instead of making my cupid’s bow really defined, I’ve been kind of filling it in right there. I love ’90s glam. I blend the lip liner.”
ON NORTH: “North loves eyeshadow and blush, highlighter, stuff that is powdery that she can get into with a brush and ruin it.”
ON MASCARA: “Everyone thinks I have on lash extensions, and I don’t.”
ON MAKEUP: “I don’t really like to put too much on, because I hate when I have cakey makeup on.”
ON EYEBROWS: “I usually pluck them. Sometimes I wax, but only under.”
ON CONTOUR: Kendall pinches bristles on brush to make it even thinner when doing cheekbones.
ON LIPS: “I dab lip gloss to enhance my own color. I like having gloss rather than just matte. And if I don’t have gloss, I use ChapStick or something.”
ON LEARNING MAKEUP: “I learn a lot from being on set. What taught me most about how to do my own makeup is just my own face and finding out what looks good on me and what doesn’t.”
ON SUNSCREEN: “I used to be afraid that sunscreen would make me break out. I also put it on my hands, which is a trick that Khloé taught me.”
ON EYEBROWS: “When filling in my eyebrows, I pretty much stay with the shape.”
ON PENELOPE: “My daughter loves makeup. She has a little vanity in her room that my mom gave her for Christmas. I let her play and I try to keep her makeup as clean as possible.”
ON CONTOUR: “Instead of drawing lines on the face for contouring, I keep it a little more natural. So I put it on my hand, and I take a brush. I am not a fan of the crazy, the contour, the highlighter, that whole look.”
ON HIGHLIGHTER: “Sometimes I put the tiniest touch on the sides of my eyes.”
ON SISTERS: “I’ll watch my sisters do makeup tutorials, and all of us do makeup so differently.”
ON SUNSCREEN: “I put this EltaMD sunscreen on my face, hands, neck, and chest because this is where we all show our age.”
ON BRUSHES: “This brush I love. It’s a Mac Kabuki brush.”
ON CONTOUR: Khloe uses Kim’s “make a 3” trick on the hairline, cheekbone, and jawline of the face.
ON CONCEALER: “I really love KKW’s concealer.”
ON SKINCARE: “I’ve always been super good at taking care of my skin. My mom instilled that in all of us at a really young age. We’ve always had a skincare routine.”
ON LIP LINER: “Lip liner is my jam. I’m gonna use KKW today in Peach 2.”
ON SUNSCREEN: “Sunscreen is important to me. I have naturally really fair skin, so I burn.”
ON EYESHADOW: “I like to go in with a darker brown. Kinda gives me more of a cut crease.”
ON BAKING: “It’s important to bake after your bronzer. Every time I do my makeup, I bake. I love how baking looks. I think it really does help. For anyone who doesn’t know what it is, baking actually is like powder is soaking into your skin and leaving a residue of color. I’m trying to make my face lighter so it just shapes my face.”
ON LIPS: “When I was insecure about my lips, I turned to makeup to help me feel more confident. I do pretty much color my whole lip with lip liner. I think I can do it with my eyes closed. It’s pretty good.”
ON SETTING: “Spraying your makeup makes it look better in person and less powdery.”
