Finding a pair of jeans that fits your figure to a T and accentuates your assets is no easy shopping task. Luckily, wardrobe stylist, Dani Michelle, is here to shed light on where she finds denim for Kourt that hugs in all the right places.
“If you go to Kourt’s closet and take a look, she has rows and rows of designer jeans, but some of her very favorite are her vintage ones. Light denim made its way back into our lives, post-Cindy Crawford ’90s, in the last two years, and now it’s all about the light wash. We’ve never been one for contrived holes or fading, so when you shop vintage, you get the real deal. Truly worn holes, thinned denim, faded creases, and character stains that you just can’t buy.
Some of our go-to places from these finds are Re/Done, Gallery Dept. Denim, and recently Virgo. The difference with vintage denim is there isn’t any stretch, so it really takes some time to find the right pair. My secret? Head to the local flea market, wear bike shorts that day, and try on a ton. Once you find the fade and waistline you love, take them to get tailored down the leg, and you’ll have your very own custom fit. Aside from some new Celine and Yeezy denim for Kourt, it’s vintage for the win.”
