KOURT'S FAVORITE Cajun Kale Chips

Kale chips may be no substitute for potato chips, but we aren’t claiming them to be. In fact, after trying out this favorite recipe of Kourt’s, we might even say they’re better.

Ok, just different. But addictive and amazing, nonetheless.

They’re airy. They’re crunchy. They’re earthy. They’re salty. And they have a little spicy depth to them that makes it oh-so easy to polish off an entire bowl of them, completely guilt-free. Because when it comes to snacking, we aren’t particularly fond of guilt. The bod needs fuel!

Kourt’s Favorite Cajun Kale Chips

Kourt’s Favorite Cajun Kale Chips

Recipe Type:Snack
Dietary Info:Vegan, Gluten-free
Serving Size:2 (but let’s be real—we eat all this and more in a single serving)
Prep Time:10 minutes
Cook Time: 15-17 minutes
Total Time:25-30 minutes

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon avocado oil
2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning (you can buy it pre-made or use a mix of smoked paprika, pink Himalayan salt, cayenne, black pepper, and thyme to taste)
4 cups of kale leaves (packed), stemmed and torn into chip-size pieces

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the oil and Cajun seasoning
3. Add the kale leaves and toss to cover, massaging to break them down and really integrate the flavors.
4. Spread the kale out on the baking sheet in an even layer, leaving space between the leaves so they roast evenly and get crispy.
5. Roast for 15 to 17 minutes. Make sure to check that they aren’t burning—all ovens are different!
