Hot take: I hate showering.
Well, at least in my current bathroom. It’s pretty small and cramped. And instead of a typical layout, it has a freestanding tub with a shower head attachment right in front of a little window.
This sounds cool until you have to get in and bathe without getting water everywhere. Or try to change the showerhead to one that actually has water pressure. Or have to keep the windowsill paint from peeling.
It is a hassle, and because of that, I spend as little time in the shower as possible.
I’m telling you all of this because a) I like to complain and b) it shows that I am not likely to gush over bath products. So when our Slack channel blew up about this “amazing” body wash from Iota that I just “had to try,” I was pretty meh but decided to give it a go because I was out of my current one.
Y’all—I have never been so wrong about something in my life (except the time I thought the situationship I had with a personal trainer could actually be something real).

Supervitamin Body Wash+ Brightening
First, we need to talk about its amazing smell.
The fragrance is European Union (EU) compliant, meaning, it doesn’t include any of the 1,400+ chemicals banned or restricted by the EU. And it’s made with gentle, non-irritating essential oils.
My typically overstimulated senses can’t get enough of the bright mandarin orange/woodsy cedar/eucalyptus combo. It smells expensive but not, you know, precious. Like something a cool friend found in a little shop on Abbot Kinney (without costing $576).
Now, the ingredients.
This body wash is designed to be a full face-grade routine for your body, acting as a double-cleanse, toner, essence, and treatment. That seems like a tough order to fill, but somehow it actually does it.
The formula is packed with 20 superfood multivitamins, minerals, and face-grade actives, plus microbiome-balancing pre and postbiotics. So not only am I getting clean, I’m drenching my skin in active ingredients like brightening vitamin C, calming and radiance-boosting niacinamide, and skin barrier-strengthening vitamins A and E.
It has a milky, almost serum-y consistency, that lathers extremely well—a nice surprise for this kind of product. And a little bit goes a long way.
After rinsing off the lather, it leaves behind a moisturizing coating that’s not sticky or oily. It’s almost unreal how moist and soft my skin feels when I step out of the shower now. The strawberry skin on my legs has also significantly improved. Like, I can shave without fear now. Woohoo.
The body wash also comes in two other versions: Supervitamin Body Wash + Detoxifying and Supervitamin Body Wash + Soothing. The former smells of lemongrass and eucalyptus, and the latter is fragrance-free.
