Take a browse through any drugstore or skincare specialty shop and you’ll see aisles of sheet mask options. Truly the options are endless, from acne-clearing and anti-aging to brightening and moisturizing. The traditional ones are packed juicy serums to hydrate and detoxify your skin. Yes, these wet sheet masks are great and have a wealth of benefits for your face, but they can be messy and cold on your skin. Below, our editor, Michelle Scanga, is sharing why she’s converted to dry sheet masks only now.
“Personally, this is what has always turned me off from sheet masks. I don’t like how goopy the fabric feels and how the product drips down your neck (I know, I know, you’re supposed to massage the excess serum into your skin, but I just can’t stand the feeling). That’s why I was thrilled to test out dry sheet masks, which have similar skin perks to wet versions, and report back with my experience. My main takeaway: dry masks are ideal for when you don’t want a mess (or to get your hairline wet and filled with the product) but still want a quick, hydrating pick-me-up glow. I like to multitask and wear one as I’m doing my hair before a night out or, like I’m currently doing, writing this story. When it comes to sheet masks, I’m definitely on team dry sheets—if we’re talking other masking products, I’ll save that for another story to share my favorites.”

Nannette de Gaspé explains, “Our dry masks are empowered by our proprietary breakthrough ingredient delivery technology, known as BMV™. Our BVM technology multiplies the effectiveness of any formulation by six to eight times, thus allowing you to achieve more pronounced results. The BVM technology allows for our formula to be dry-printed onto our masks and synthesize with the skin. This allows for the micro-penetration of a large concentration of active ingredients that travels much more deeply into the skin, continuing to feed and nurture the skin for several hours following application.” So all the hydration and brightening benefits without the mess.
Dry masks are waterless sheets with soothing ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin and feed your cells without any fuss. They are designed to loop around your ears so they stay in place, making it a great multitasking treatment. Additionally, most masks can be used up to three times for 15 minutes each use.
