With the help of celebrity skin expert, Christie Kidd, you no longer have to stress about the possibility of breaking out while traveling. We’re sharing her top three tips to help prevent an in-flight blemish (or two). Just be sure to stock up on the key items (travel size, obviously) she suggests packing in your carry-on bag. Never board a plane with the worry of damaging your skin again. Here’s how to arrive at your destination with a perfect glow.
Always consider the climate
“Research the climate of where you are traveling to. If it’s going to be cold and dry you want to make sure to pack extra moisturizers and lip therapy so you can combat dry, chapped skin. If you are going somewhere hot and humid, it’s very likely your skin will become greasy and prone to a breakout. So ease up on heavy moisturizers and opt for light oil-free products instead.”

“This means your hands and the space around you in flight. I always bring disinfectant wipes on an airplane and wipe everything down the minute I get on the plane. Everything—the seat, the armrests, the TV screen, the tray, the window, and the seatbelt. Keeping your hands free of bacteria and germs will definitely help the skin on your face.”

Consider a mid-flight face wash
“If you’re boarding an extensive flight, such as an international trip, I recommend washing your face mid-flight. Set a mental reminder to head to the restroom and cleanse your face and also reapply your moisturizer. You’ll feel so refreshed when you land and your skin will thank you for it.”
