When and why did you start your company?
“I founded Rielli in May 2019. Living in Florida for most of my life has definitely inspired Rielli and allowed my brand to flourish. I always enjoyed going to the beach and spending my days by the pool. At first, I would design and sew swimwear that I would wear myself and post. After inquiries and positive feedback, I decided to put my business degree and eye for fashion to good use. I knew that my business education could help me start my own successful swimwear label.”
What has your career path been like?
“As a young entrepreneur and designer, my career path has been full of exciting and unexpected moments. There are times where I have to overcome an obstacle, but there is always a solution to every challenge I face. I surround myself with positivity and always dream big and beyond what I see in front of me.”
What’s your favorite style that you sell and why?
“My favorite style is the Maldives Short. I love how you can mix and match our swimwear with these shorts and also take them for a swim. They’re also really comfortable and can be worn with an oversized tee.”
What has surprised you the most since you started your company?
“What most surprised me since launching Rielli is the amazing feedback we constantly receive. It’s a heartwarming feeling to see how far we’ve come, and receiving amazing feedback from our customers daily makes the process so worth it. I’m also glad to see how we have been recognized by so many news platforms as a small, Black female-owned business. I think it’s really important in times like these to uplift small, female-founded businesses, and businesses owned by people of color. I’m here for these conversations, and being a part of this movement is both humbling and empowering.”
