Valentine’s Day gets a bad rap.
Admit it, more than half of us roll our eyes when February 1st hits, knowing that smack in the middle of this month, it will be punctuated with all things unrealistic in the realm of love and romance.
Not on our watch!
We decided a perfect evening of friendship and connection was way more the vibe and set out to throw the ultimate Sweetheart Soirée at The Britely Social Club in WeHo a week prior to the googly-eyed Hallmark holiday. Not to dull the pain of the following week, but to remind us that love is everywhere—for our best friends, for new friends, for ourselves, and in our hearts.
We spared no glamorous, red satin- and pink silk-laden moment for this delightful, cocktail hour full of shopping, self-loving delights and pleasures, followed by the most romantic, family-style dinner.
And sweetheart…we wish you were there.
We trusted none other than Mindy Weiss (as we do with most things) to Poosh the already gorgeous venue to stunning new heights. Guests entered The Britely by descending a staircase that led into the rose-tinted glow of the social club. Plush, blue leather booths accented the rose-gold, pink, and mauve decor that set the stage for the real party—the cocktail lounge and bar.
Greeted with Libby sparkling rosé at the entrance, guests were ushered into a dreamscape of romantic, low-glow lighting, velvet, silk, and confections everywhere. Cocktail hour invited guests to enjoy specialty elixirs made with 818 Tequila and Lemme’s Lemme Fall in Love tincture for a heart-opening, berry delight.
While we and all of our sweet guests mingled over these delightful sips and a few light bites, we took turns in the “photo booth.” Ok, it was actually a fully set stage complete with stunning bouquets by Floracracy, feminine form candles by Caiyu, cakey confections by Shelby Eastman, all dripping in pink silk and captured by none other than the Kardashian’s go-to photographer, Pierre.
Nothing creates an important memory quite like a pro-level shoot, are we right?
The main event before the main event (aka dinner) was the glorious table showcasing all of our favorite goodies from the Sweetheart Bundle. Cute, pink shopping baskets were provided for each guest to peruse the offerings, stack their basket, and essentially shop to their heart’s content while building out their own personalized bundle.
This luxurious, pampering bundle included goodies from:
After everyone shopped for their ideal bundle, we made sure to package them up nicely in the exact same, gorgeous, acrylic, ShopPOPdisplay custom boxes that the mailers came in. They are reusable for precious mementos, snacks, and blankets by the sofa. We even saw one of our guests turn it on its side, stack the inside with books, and use it as a side table!
Finally, guests finished up at the Sockerbit candy bar, filling their special tin with whatever non- GMO, high fructose corn syrup- and trans-fats-free, Scandinavian sweets that their hearts desired before heading into the dining room for an intimate, family-style meal.
Around the dinner table is where the magic really bloomed. The frenzy from shopping for dreamy pieces turned into a magical hum inside the cozy room enhanced by velvet cushions by Lulu and Georgia, romantic lighting, and the black and white screening of Audrey Hepburn’s Sabrina (aka Kourt’s favorite movie). Guests found a custom, silk pillow from Slip at their seats (chic chairs by Chameleon), embroidered with their initials.
On the back of the menus, beautiful bouquets from Memby by Floracracy carried a special meaning in each flower. Ranunculus stood for radiance, roses for admiration, tweedias for happiness, tulips for true love, and so many more perfectly curated blooms. Post-sup, all were invited to choose the most meaningful flowers and create their own special bouquet to take home. And with the Memby app, being sentimental without the clutter is so easy.
All of the menu items came to life on pretty, delicate china provided by Casa de Perrin for an elegant touch. The meal itself was served family style, with vegan and pescatarian options included, such as hamachi tartare, vegan mushroom bolognese, and pave truffle potatoes—delicious specialties by Wolfgang Puck, prepared by the Britely, and selected by Kourtney herself.
Of course, it was delicious, and after a night of mingling and shopping for amazing items, we were all famished. But enough about the food—while the magic happened around the table, it wasn’t about what we were eating. The table sang with connection. Everyone was so excited to be there, catch up, and create bonds. The Poosh team didn’t want the night to end!
A sweet guest came out to join us on her birthday for this event, so of course we had to celebrate her by singing a song and bringing out a custom cake by Shelby Eastman. But we couldn’t leave anyone out! After all, this is a night of love, so after the meal and the birthday girl’s golden moment, each guest received a mini cake with their name in icing—to top it all off—one might say.
It was such a beautiful time to come together and nourish our souls, as well as grow the extended Poosh family. We already can’t wait for next year!
