This simple pasta sauce recipe is so special to me. Not only was it the first recipe I ever wrote down about 20 years ago, but it was from my aunt Antigoni, who was as beautiful as she was kind. She was so fashionable with her long blonde hair, flowy skirts, and big sunglasses, yet simple and traditional like me in the kitchen. I’ve loved and cherished this recipe since the day I wrote it down in Greece, and I will love and cherish it even more since she was taken from us way too soon. It’s so delicious on pasta, chicken, shrimp, zucchini noodles, and just about everything really. I usually end up sprinkling parmesan cheese over my meal and then dipping bread into the remaining sauce.
