Shiva Rose: As a mom, it can be difficult to find time for yourself during a busy week. A bath is a great way to unwind and just connect to yourself. These bath time rituals will help you hit the reset button. If you’ve had a challenging day and you want to release some negativity, this is a great bath time routine. First, you fill the bath about half-way with warm to hot water and then I’ll add some of the salts to the water. The pink Himalayan salts release negativity and are detoxifying. I then will add the black tourmaline crystals or amethyst crystals. Amethyst is for healing, black tourmaline releases negativity. I like to place it right in the middle of the tub, and then I like to add some of the essential oils. Lemongrass is wonderful for releasing negativity. I then will add some wonderful herbs from the garden that you can also buy at the grocery store. Things like rosemary or sage. These plants contain ancient wisdom. After the bath ritual is said, I like to add a candle. Lighting a candle is sort of a metaphor for bringing light into your life. This bath ritual brings in love and self-care and nourishment. I will add a cup of milk. I like to use raw organic whole milk, however, any kind of milk that you can find will be wonderful. I then like to add the crystals. I like to use rose quartz or morganite. These crystals bring in love and open the heart chakras. I then like to add a few drops of rose essential oil. Rose is the highest vibrational flower and it opens the heart. I then will add some crushed rose petals to the mixture. Next, I will breathe in the beautiful rose aroma of the bath and slowly get in, and as I get into it, I imagine I’m being developed in an embrace of love and goodness.
