From our new anti-acne light shield and gua sha tools to body rollers and this microneedling face stamper, we know you love a skincare device just as much as we do. We also know you like multitasking when it comes to beauty and wellness rituals, specifically multitasking masking.
To add to the list of convenient self-care hacks, we wanted to share how you can use your favorite beauty tools in unexpected ways—because again, who doesn’t enjoy a multi-use product? Enter today’s story: how to use skincare devices to help define your arms and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
If you’re new to the world of gua sha, start with this helpful step-by-step tutorial. The tool is typically used to sculpt, tone, drain, and contour your face, but you can take advantage of the benefits on other body parts as well.
You can use either of the below options on your arms, but the butterfly one is especially great for this area because the wings act as a comb to stroke up and down your arms.
What to do:
Start with your arm raised and bent behind your head (so your hand is essentially touching your shoulder blade). Then in an upward motion move the tool up and down your underarm. This will help drain toxins from your body, sculpt the dainty area of skin, and can help diminish the appearance of cellulite. Do this at least twice a week for a month straight for the best results. Consistency is key here.
Similar to gua sha, dry brushing is one of the most natural ways to depuff, increase lymphatic drainage, and boost circulation. It helps to promote better skin function and firmer, healthier-looking skin.
What to do:
Brush upward all over your arms and under your arms (lots of toxins get stuck in this area) and pan down each side again.
If you purchased this from our Fresh for Fall bundle, now you have another reason to put it to good use. This triple-threat at-home toning device lifts, contours, and smooths, and we’re here for all of that. Yes, it’s meant for your face but you can use it on your arms as well. Just be sure to properly clean the tool before you use it on your face again (and after each session of course).
What to do:
On clean skin, apply the Gel Primer and then glide the Trinity over your arms (specifically your underarms and sides of your arms). For the first 60 days, use five minutes a day, five days per week. Then use two to three days per week to maintain results.
