As we work to rid our lives of single-use plastic, I thought the next place we should look to improve is the kitchen. Let’s talk about food storage. From the thin plastic wrap that covers our leftovers to the ziplock bags we send with our kids to school in their lunches, plastic has dominated the majority of our households. It’s time we invest in smarter, safer options.
Why do we want an alternative option, you might ask? Besides the obvious—plastic is not eco-friendly—consider the negative impact plastic could be having on your health. I know I want to prevent exposure to potential toxins in plastics that seep into my family’s food, don’t you?
Luckily, we have better options. I have included some of my favorite food storage alternatives for you to shop here.
