Happy birthday, Poosh! Over the past two years, we’ve hooked our readers on Kourt’s signature matcha latte, shared nearly 200 recipes, suggested dozens of ways to incorporate healthier habits into your lifestyle, covered an insane amount of butt and ab workouts, revealed a peek inside Kourt’s daily rituals, provided steamy and stable relationship advice, and revealed all the skincare and beauty hacks our team swears by (and so much more!). All while pooshing the boundaries, of course.
To celebrate the day, we announced our collaborative Project Poosh program this morning as a way to give back and continue to motivate our readers to live their best lives through their entrepreneurial dreams. But the celebration doesn’t stop there!
Ahead, we’re sharing first-person experiences from our community on how Poosh has changed their lives (in big and small ways) over the past two years.
We’re so happy to have such an inspiring group of followers and appreciate everyone joining along for the ride! Here’s to more, and we can’t wait for the content, projects, and products we have in store for you this year.
Now for a walk down memory lane, courtesy of our Poosh-positive community.
“When I read the articles of Poosh, it’s like my eyes are starving and the words add up to a warm chocolate croissant. That sounds exaggerative, but the information manages to help both my current self AND my future self. Poosh helps me grow as a person overall. Since I have started obsessing over the website two years ago, I managed to incorporate more exercise into my life, put healthier things into my body, and deepen my understanding of my body altogether. Obviously, that list is not exhaustive; many other topics covered on Poosh enriched my life in some way or another. Either way, the information my mind manages to soak in from the website intrigues me and improves my well-being more often than not. That being said, thank you to the Poosh team for creating a place filled with access, authenticity, relatability, and simply enjoyable articles.”
“I wanted to share how this website has really helped me find my inner ‘hippie’ and how I’ve really come to appreciate natural products and a more healthy lifestyle.
At the beginning of quarantine, I had an allergic reaction that caused me to go to the hospital. The doctors in the emergency room couldn’t figure out what had happened and referred me to an allergist. A few months later, I was still breaking out in hives and I was miserable. My allergist tested me and I found out I am allergic to multiple things, one of them being yeast. This caused me to reinvent my entire diet and lifestyle. Poosh was able to help me find new foods that work with my body and opened my eyes to what else is out there.
It’s only year two of Poosh, and I’m so excited to see it grow. Thank you again to Poosh and all who make it the amazing website that it is.”
“I’d like to share my story of how Poosh has impacted my life. I come from a culture that doesn’t emphasize mental health, body wellness, healthy food habits, and researching information regarding one’s lifestyle, in general. Since birth, I have very supportive and loving parents, but there are many topics that were never brought to my attention. Many topics that I have had to do my own research and ask the correct questions at 25 years old. This is when I discovered Poosh through social media. Kourtney has been such an inspiration. Her collaboration with many talented women has opened my eyes and inspired me to do better than what I have ever done in life.”
“First of all, I would just love to say that I am so thankful for the creation of Poosh. I never used to be much of a multimedia lifestyle platform reader, but I read Poosh religiously. Whether I am looking for a beauty hack, lifestyle tip, new workout, spiritual/relationship advice, or a new recipe, I know I will be able to find it on Poosh.
A little bit about me is that I am a 22-year-old soon-to-be college graduate. With the age I am at, there is so much going on in my life and so many changes that come along with growth. Something that has really helped me is the mind, relationship, and soul categories on Poosh. The advice provided me with relatable information and helped me become more aware of the stress and anxiety that go on in my life and even how to cope with it. It has helped me navigate through unhealthy relationships by being able to see the negative behaviors within those relationships.”
“My name is Sarah Keys, I’m a singer and songwriter from Brazil, and I’m super grateful to be in Poosh’s Facebook group. Here’s how Poosh changed my life (for good). I was in this two-year-old weird relationship. We lived one hour apart, which was always the main reason for our discussions because my partner always had excuses to visit me. One day I read the Poosh article ‘Why Do We Accept Being Undervalued?‘ and noticed that I was living in a neglected relationship. Why was I allowing myself to be in that relationship? So I binged all the posts about relationships, and I got the ‘AHA’ moment with Kourt’s advice: ‘Highway to nowhere.’ There I was, driving on a highway to nowhere with that relationship. I was feeling bad about myself, I wasn’t taking care of myself anymore, and I had this angst before sleep every single night! I don’t deserve that! Do I want to be married to a guy who always has excuses for EVERYTHING? DEF NOT! So I just broke up with him, easily. Now I’m working on my dream body, taking care of myself, I got my libido back, no worries, I’m sleeping well, and I’m driving to somewhere now, I’m driving on my dream’s road, and also, I wrote a goddamn amazing song about it.”
“I recently discovered Poosh on Instagram, and wow, it has been amazing. I invested in a cute journal and have divided sections for recipes, wellness, and goals. I have changed my diet and way of eating because of Poosh. I am in love with the morning apple tea and the green smoothie recipe. For my wellness section, I have discovered life-changing wellness advice such as how great taking a bath is for your body, and I’ve discovered the wonderful use of crystals, morning routines, and skincare. I have invested in almost one item of all the articles I have read. Thank you for changing lives to live a healthier lifestyle. I have been lacking this type of helpful research all my life. I suffer from severe anxiety and feel a Poosh will ultimately end my anxiety. Thank you for all you all do.”
“I want to share with you how your Poosh articles have helped me in several different ways this past year.
First, the workouts have made me realize how important exercise is both physically and mentally. I love the variety of them, especially quick five-minute ones—and yet they are still so effective!
The relationship advice and the interviews that you share are such a huge help. It makes me feel not as alone with my thoughts and grounds me at the same time. This has truly made a difference in how I act and the confidence in my long-term relationship. You have made me more confident, and that is something big that creates happiness for me!
Lastly, the recipes are just perfect. They are all so amazing. Healthy and simple. One time I made the matcha pancakes, and they were the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Kris’s brownies were also a hit.
Thank you for all of this, Poosh! It has made my life a lot brighter.”
“My journey started on Poosh at the beginning of the pandemic last year. I was sucked in by Kourt’s immune-boosting apple tea and made it for everyone in my family to keep us healthy. One of our family friends actually had COVID, and we’d drop off a pot of it in front of her house weekly. It was the only thing she could eat and drink. From that moment forward I found myself obsessed with reading Poosh articles. I’ve since started a skincare routine, take time to take care of myself, make time for gratitude and prayer, added multiple Poosh workouts to my home workout schedule, and have recreated many recipes. Poosh has opened my eyes to many things I would have never known had I not come across the site. Thank you, Poosh, for giving me such a different perspective on so many things in life!”
