Since Penelope and North’s birthdays are three weeks apart, they wanted to celebrate together with a unicorn-themed party. To create the special day, Kim and I had ponies from Farm Friendz dressed up as unicorns, 11-year-old DJ Livia in charge of the music, a station for making slime (because the girls are really into slime making), and a dessert bar stocked with sweets like cake pops, ice cream cones, and chocolate-covered Oreos (all unicorn rainbow-themed, of course).
We got the girls each their own birthday cake from Flour Shop, so it felt like we were celebrating them individually. The cakes had sprinkles that poured out when you cut the middle. P and North loved it. See all the memories below.
Wild Child Party did all the balloon arrangements on all the tables, in the trees, and unicorn and heart balloon sculptures around the backyard.
We gave the kids decorative headbands (fitting the theme, of course), from Brooklyn Owl, and wands from MeriMeri when they arrived at the party.
We had craft stations by Vita Perfetta with flower body art, hair and body glitter, and make-your-own “unicorn” snot (a.k.a. slime).
