Products that do multiple things, and do them all well, are essential for us lazy people—er, minimalists. One such product we’ll wax poetic about to anyone who will listen: Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Hemp Hair and Body Oil. It’s infused with hemp seed oil, a super nourishing ingredient full of fatty acids that moisturize and soften both hair and skin. It also happens to smell divine; an uplifting, forest-y scent with bergamot, eucalyptus, evergreen, and cedarwood. It’s easy to see why it earned itself a permanent place on our vanities.
Here are three ways we like to use this multitasking product.
As a hand and cuticle oil
We keep this at our desks to smooth flyaways and use what’s left over as a nourishing treatment for our hands and cuticles. The bergamot and eucalyptus notes in the oil provide an energizing aroma that helps perk us up during the midday slump.
This oil works wonderfully as a treatment for softer, smoother, shinier hair. A couple times a week, before showering, we apply extra to our hair, focusing on the ends. Then we pull our hair back into a bun and hang out in the bathroom with the shower steam. For extra multitasking credit, sometimes we do the oil/bun before going to the gym and then shampoo it out post-workout.
Gently pat this onto slightly damp skin after shaving. The tea tree oil in the formula helps reduce irritation, flakiness, and itchiness, and the hemp seed oil is ultra-hydrating.
