When and why did you start your company?
“I launched the brand in February of 2017. Before creating my own products, I tried all of the chemically based, medically prescribed items, and there were little to no results. I knew there were many people out there who felt the same way. Going a more natural, holistic route, I saw so much progress and wanted to share that with everyone.”
What has your career path been like?
“After graduating, I held a job as a waitress. Not long after, I quit to pursue and perfect my brand. It’s been history ever since.”
What’s the core mission of your brand?
“Educating on the importance of healthy skincare, but—let’s make it fun. My brand caters to millennials, and we pride ourselves on clean, plant-based beauty, always.”
What’s your favorite thing that you sell and why?
“The Iconic Elixir. Why, you ask? It was extremely difficult to find an oil serum that didn’t break me out. So, to finally have one that people love, I can use, and to top it all off, was created by me? It’s an awesome feeling!”
What has surprised you the most since starting your company?
“The unwavering support and rapid growth from my Nola-babe community.”
What’s a lesson you’ve learned as a founder?
“That I simply can’t do it all alone.”
What can we expect in the future for Nola Skinsentials?
“The same Nola brand, but better! We are always thinking of ways to improve our customers’ experience when shopping with us. My future goal is a storefront. I love being an e-commerce business, but I would love a place where I can meet and interact more with our Nola babes.”
