Sheet masks have come a long way over the past few years.
In 2023, you can get a sheet mask for just about every need and aesthetic. Want a sheet mask that cleans out your pores and has glittering hearts all over it? That very likely exists somewhere.
But what about one that’s packed with amazing ingredients like medical-grade niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and beta glucan that also looks pretty sexy while it soothes, plumps, and hydrates your skin? That one for sure exists, and it’s from Kristina Kitsos.
The Lace Face Mask has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s the part of my self-care routine that actually makes me look forward to doing self-care.
It’s ideal for those who have just had a laser or other skincare treatment, as the beta glucan helps soothe any irritation or redness. Although I haven’t used this after a laser treatment (yet—it’s only a matter of time), I have used it to calm my persistent redness with excellent results. Since it’s a hydrogel mask, our CCO Sarah recommended putting it in the fridge first, which is something I always say I’m going to do and then forget about. But going from the fridge to my face was the right call. I could almost hear my skin thanking me for giving it something cool to the touch.
After my first use, I could already see a difference in my skin. It looked and felt calmer and more hydrated. The shade of red that is almost always on my face was dialed down by about 100 notches, too.

And I’m not the only Pooshie who’s a believer. Sam, our VP of brand partnerships, has also loved adding this into her routine.
“I’m obsessed with these masks! I love the way it feels on my skin, and they are so cool and chic to take pics in,” she says. “My skin feels so smooth and bright after using it. I notice such a difference in tightness and texture, and they have even helped with some breakouts. I usually put it on and leave it for an hour or two while I watch a show or a movie, and then I remove it and apply my skincare routine.”
