Kourtney Kardashian
That glow though—glowing skin is hands down the most covetable beauty look in the industry right now. To find out (and dish) the secrets to achieving Kourt’s dewy-skin makeup look, we tapped her MU artist, Wendi Miyake, to walk us through her step-by-step tutorial with products included. Learn how to get Kourt’s lush beauty look starting with skin prep and ending with setting instructions below.
“A favorite look of mine is fresh, dewy, glowing skin, often referred to as the ‘no-makeup makeup’ look. It’s a timeless trend that can be seen on all the red carpets, major runway shows, and every magazine.”
“Preparing the skin is the most important part of creating this look. I start off by exfoliating the skin with Kiko Milano Scrub & Peel Wipes. Scrub around the nose, forehead, chin, lips, and anywhere there is texture or dry patches. Next, I cleanse the face with Bioderma on a soft cotton pad to remove any remaining residue. I use a light mist of Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist and let that settle in. Following the spray, I apply Poosh’s Hyaluronic Halo + CBD Serum all over, then finish with the Augustinus Bader Cream moisturizer. Give that a few minutes to settle, then you’re ready to begin your foundation.”
“Tinted moisturizer is one of my go-to choices when the look is all about skin. My favorites are SURRATT’s Dew Drop Foundations, Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizers, and IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream. I put some product in the palm of my hand to warm it up and apply it to the face using Cozzette’s Flat Foundation Brush. I apply a sheer coverage, evening out the skin tone but still keeping it transparent. Giving the foundation a minute to settle and adjust is important. Blot with a thin tissue to remove any excess surface oil. Next, I use SURRATT’s Concealer Palette with the SURRATT Concealer Brush to spot correct any discoloration and pinpoint specific areas that need more coverage. Precise application is key to ensure the skin continues to look ‘skin-like.’ Have purpose with every application stroke you do. Once you’ve concealed under the eyes, blemishes, and/or discoloration, revisit areas with your fingers to blend and warm up concealer. Again, be very precise with your applications, and only cover what is needed.”
“To highlight the high points of the face, I apply Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector liquid highlighter. Using a Cozzette S165 Magic Blender Brush, I lightly apply the Skin Perfector on the high points of the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s bow, and brow bone. For an added step of dew, you can add the Skin Perfector into your foundation for an all-over glow. To take it even one step further, I like to use Danessa Myricks Dew Wet Balm on the highest points of the cheeks. Once your skin is evened out and glowing, it’s time to set it.”
“I like to use By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Setting Powder with the correctly shaped powder brush to target specific areas: T-zone, under eyes, around nose, middle of forehead, and chin. You don’t want to use a heavy-coverage powder when setting—keeping the skin coverage fresh and lightweight is your goal. To finish, I spray the outer corners of the face one last time with the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, covering the center T-zone with a tissue.
Voilà! You’re glowing!”
