While her overall beauty inspiration remains the same, she’s tweaked and added a few application tips thanks to her H&MU squad. Below, we’re revealing the latest secrets that Patrick Ta and Glen Coco used to achieve her natural and effortless look reflected in the above photo.
The secret: Take advantage of different brush textures and applicators when applying your face makeup. Patrick likes the brush-blend-press-fluff-blend-spray technique when working on Kourt’s base and face.
The full breakdown from Patrick:
“After skincare, I applied Oxygenetix foundation with a dense brush to ensure the skin was fresh and dewy. I then went in with a damp beauty blender to ensure coverage was fully blended for a nice, natural finish. To highlight, I applied concealer two shades lighter than the base foundation under the eyes to bring light, then pushed the product in with a fluffy blending brush as well as a beauty blender. After the foundation and highlight were applied, I used loose powder to allow the skin to still look dewy in all the correct places.
For contouring, I lightly applied the Ilia Nightlife bronzer in “Novelty” to the hollows of Kourt’s cheekbones using a small contour brush to give some dimension to the face. For blush, I used a synthetic fluffy brush, applying the Patrick Ta Blush in “She’s So LA” to the apples of Kourt’s cheeks. Using Ilia DayLite highlighter powder in the shade “Decades,” I applied to the high points of the cheekbones and collar bones using a short synthetic brush, tapping the product into the skin. I followed that by using a beauty blender to ensure full blending and saturation of the product. Finally, I sprayed the face with a light mist to give the skin a naturally luminous finish while allowing the makeup to last all day.”
The secret: Shadow the upper lash line first and then blend the color out and upward to create your shape. And remember to double curl your lashes.

“I wanted the eyes to be soft and sultry. To get the look, I used the Dose of Colors Friendcation eyeshadow palette. I started off by applying the medium brown shade in the upper lash line, blending it out and upward to create the shape with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. Then I went back into the same area using the darker brown shade for added depth and dimension. Next, I applied the same shades to her lower lash line using a short, dense synthetic brush, blending out with the same fluffy brush I used for the crease shade.
To make the look more monochromatic, I took a little of the blush we used and also blended that into her crease to tie all the colors together. Next, I curled her lashes twice and used two coats of KKW Beauty Mascara to the top and bottom lashes.”
To fill in negative lash space, you can sprinkle in short and medium individual lashes from House of Lashes x Patrick Ta.
The secret: A nude-on-nude pout will never let you down.

“For Kourt’s lips, I used the KKW Beauty Liner in Nude 1.5 paired with a silky matte nude to fill in the rest. I love applying my lip creme with a brush—it makes it much cleaner for softly defined lines.”
The secret: Ponytail and bun placement can make your face appear tighter.

“For this look, we went with a really clean and easy updo with a bit of a ’90s flair. Simply put your hair back in a classic bun. The higher you place the bun, the more pulled up your face will look. Be sure to keep out two strategic front pieces for a very retro and effortless look. Finish with a little hairspray for hold, and voilà!”
