To get more details, we went straight to the source—Kourt’s makeup artist Leah Darcy. “For this evening look in Milan, we went for a sultry, smokey eye with a classic nude lip,” Leah told us. As it turns out, it’s not too difficult to copy for ourselves. “What I love about an eye like this is it doesn’t have to be perfect, and it’s super easy to clean up with a wipe and a little concealer.”
Below, she shares three tips to get the look.
“I kept the overall tones pretty warm in order to bring life to the skin, to keep it from looking too stark and dramatic—especially at night time with flash photography.”
2. Use bronzer instead of eyeshadow
“For the eyes, I started with a warm brown in the crease—your bronzer works well for this as it ties in with the whole look.”
“Then I smudged black eyeliner on the top and bottom lash lines and blended it all together.”
