Just like previous Christmas Eve parties at Kourt’s house, this unforgettable end-of-year party takes place in her backyard. Only this year’s theme is nothing like her previous parties.
After two years of family-only celebrations, it’s open to all her friends. In fact, we can’t even slap a simple theme on it—it’s just a vibe. It’s elegant Victorian meets fairy-like rustic, whimsical, woodsy, and downright mystical.
Kourt was inspired by some images of red-flocked trees that were far from perfect but a little wild and magical. They sparked the feeling for this event—brought to life by none other than Mindy Weiss—and they take center stage. Some of them were lit, but others were left unlit for a deep, forest-like feeling. The flocking is, of course, clean and non-toxic.
The main event took place in a giant glass tent built on a raised, reusable dark wood platform for a super elegant statement. Deep red antique Persian rugs provided by Woven graced the entrance and floors. Dark red and green wild florals with poinsettia, mixed pine, and red amaranthus (all by Jeff Leatham) added to the forest-like dimension. And furniture in shades of burgundy, leather, and dark wood enhanced the wintry experience.
While the guests enjoyed a cappuccino and matcha bar and a custom cocktail bar with specialty drinks featuring 818 tequila and more, the food was a major focal point.
Of course, they had to have a croquembouche, per Kris’ tradition, as well as her favorite holiday snack—Ruffles with sour cream and onion dip. But while the event was catered, many of Kris’ traditional family recipes were prepared, like her green bean casserole, mac and cheese, sweet potato souffle, and a honeybaked ham with special honeybaked mustard.
There was also an extensive vegan menu with unique items like vegan al pastor cauliflower tostadas and a large charcuterie spread featuring vegan options. And, without fail, there is always Hotdog on a Stick at the holiday event. It’s not a Kardashian party without it!
This was a party for the whole family. In the kids’ tent, entertainment elves from Santa’s workshop helped with crafts and activities. There was a ball pit for fun free play, all custom handmade and themed desserts from Dipped and Dripped, and none of Kourt’s holiday parties are complete without a Santa present. He’s a staple.
This was most definitely the party of the season. From sweet, nostalgic traditions like Shellyann, the balloon animal artist that has been present at all of the Kardashian family parties since Kendall and Kylie were little, to exciting details like a stunning performance by Sia, it’s a night that will not be soon forgotten.
