Kourt: Hi guys! So, Andrew.. does my hair, pretty much every day, and we were talking… about my smoothies, that I have every morning, particularly my avocado smoothie.
Andrew: I was intrigued by the smoothies, that she was drinking, and I created the hair smoothie, the avocado hair smoothie…. So, avocados are great because it’s a natural detanguler….. that’s not a word…
Kourt: *laughs* Detangler…. I was like a detanguler?…
Andrew: It’s a detangler. It coats the hair with this very fine oil that will help you, comb through your hair, with no tangles….. And then lemon, lemon is great because it’s antibacterial, so if you’ve got any dry scalp issues it’ll take care of that. Olive oil is a great ingredient if your hair is over-processed if you’re coloring your hair, if you’re using heat, hairdryers, flat irons, curling irons, it actually protects the hair from the heat. So, to create the smoothie, it’s a lot like making your smoothie that you drink. We’re going to put in… our avocadoes.
Kourt: 1 & 1/2?
Andrew: We’re going to put in, yeah. 1 & 1/2, just so we have plenty. When I’m making this for clients at home, I end up eating half of it, because it’s so delish. That’s two tablespoons of olive oil, two tablespoons of Manuka honey, and the last thing is a half of a lemon. Then, if you want to, there’s umm, essential oils I like lavender and orange is kind of nice too… if you don’t want to smell like a cobb salad…. So we put that in, it’s really nice.
Kourt: Are you ready?
Andrew: Ok. I’m ready….. *blending* This is making me so hungry. I usually mash it, so this is, this is how you do it.
Kourt: So it doesn’t need to be SO mashed,
Andrew: It needs to be mashed a lot, so the liquidizer is perfect…. Um, so that’s pretty much it. And then you apply it to your hair, comb it all the way through, leave it in for 45 minutes, covered with a shower cap, and then rinse it out… That’s how you get Kourtney’s beautiful, shiny, healthy hair.
