Our content manager, Alexa, shared this recipe straight from her Nana’s cookbook. This cake is easy to make and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser with its sweet, velvety essence.
Since this versatile cake can work for literally any occasion, we added a fun Valentine’s Day twist for the upcoming holiday of L-O-V-E.
It’s the perfect addition to your upcoming Galentine’s Day party, or to present to your significant other (in your cutest apron, ofc).

Nana's Cheesecake

Total Time:1hr 25 min + overnight refrigerating
Ingredients for Crust:
1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
Ingredients for Filling:
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar, divided
2 medium eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla, divided
16 ounces sour cream
Raspberry coulis for decor
Instructions for Crust:
1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl, and mix well.
2. Put crumb mixture into a deep-dish pie plate.
3. Press crumbs firmly into an even layer onto the bottom and up the sides of the pan.
4. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, and set aside.
Instructions for Filling:
1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
2. Beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup of sugar in a large bowl at high speed.
3. Add both eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla into a bowl, and beat until smooth.
4. Put cream cheese filling into a chilled crust and bake for 20 minutes.
5. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
6. Turn up the oven temperature to 450° F.
7. In a second bowl, beat the sour cream, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla at low speed.
8. Pour evenly onto cooled cheesecake.
9. Add drops of raspberry dessert sauce and swirl into hearts as desired using a toothpick.
10. Bake for 5 minutes.
11. Cool at room temperature for one hour then place in the refrigerator overnight.
12. Top with your favorite topping, and enjoy!
