We all need a little break from our daily lives. And what better excuse to escape from all of our responsibilities than a well-planned getaway? But sometimes, we just want to escape our routines of responsibility, not slip totally off the wellness wagon.
Plus, a quick and effective workout can give us that boost of energy and accomplishment our vacation needs. Shelley Kamil, founder of Rhythmic Pilates, breaks down some of her favorite moves to keep things tight while you get loose on vacay.
“These moves will zip up your core, flush out fluid retention, debloat, tone, tighten, and redefine your entire body,” Shelley tells us.
“They are low-impact, dynamic movements blending the essence of Pilates, barre and fascia fitness to realign, recenter, and return to the very best version of you, anytime and anywhere—minimal props needed.
“Begin with a chair. That’s all you need to get started, but there is always the option of adding light ankle weights, a Pilates band, and a ball as we progress to the mat,” she says (if those are items you feel comfortable with and are able to pack).
