We have waxed poetic about our love for light and heat therapy, and we’ve found a new way to work them into our wellness routines—during our workouts.
The Poosh team has been frequenting Burn LA, a fitness and wellness studio offering group classes that incorporate infrared heat therapy plus LED/NIR red and blue light. They started with one location in Brentwood and continue to grow with studios now open in Malibu and West Hollywood, as well as a fourth location opening soon in Studio City.
Classes are taught under Class 2 medical grade LED|NIR red lights, which can help:
- Increase cellular regeneration.
- Tighten skin.
- Improve recovery rate.
- Burn more fat.
- Balance hormones.
The infrared heat is beneficial as well, as it may significantly improve the detox benefits of your sweat. Also—as you may guess—it makes you sweat a lot.
The studio itself feels exciting and fresh, radiating a hot pink atmosphere—and we mean hot. We always feel a sense of accomplishment after completing the cardio portion because it’s extra hard doing it in the heat. The instructors are fantastic, the music is energizing, and even though some movements feel like micro-movements, we are always sore the next day.
But it’s all worth it because we leave each class feeling like we can conquer the world (after taking a shower, of course).
