How to Make  GLUTEN-FREE MEATBALLS and PASTA

When it comes to meatballs, we’ve perfected the dish. They’re both dairy-free and gluten-free, but don’t be fooled—these just may be the most flavorful meatballs to ever come across your taste buds (truly, they are a top request when I cook for the Poosh team). These savory and juicy meatballs make a perfect side dish, party appetizer, or in this case, pasta topper.

Plan ahead and do your meatball prep and seasoning beforehand. Then store the meat in the fridge, covered, until you are ready to cook.

*Feel free to sub organic, lean turkey meat for the organic, grass-fed beef listed below

Gluten-Free Meatballs & Pasta

Recipe Type:Meal or Appetizer
Dietary Info:Gluten-free, dairy-free
Serving Size:5-7
Prep Time:10 min.
Cook Time:35-45 min.
Total Time:45-55 min.

Ingredients:

2 pounds organic grass-fed beef
1 organic egg
3 teaspoons Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons thyme
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1.5 teaspoons paprika
Dash of pepper
2 tablespoons organic ketchup
1 tablespoon coconut aminos
2 cups organic bone broth
1 can organic, plain tomato sauce
1 can plain tomato paste (without Italian seasoning so that there are no wheat gluten proteins)
1 box/bag of gluten-free pasta
2 teaspoons ghee
1 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt

Instructions:

1. Place organic beef in a bowl.
2. Add the egg and all of the seasonings and mix well until combined.
3. Heat the bone broth, tomato sauce, and tomato paste in a pot on medium heat.
4. Bring to a boil.
5. Once the sauce is boiling, use your hands to form small two-inch meatballs.
6. Gently place the meatballs in the boiling sauce.
7. After five minutes, move the meatballs around gently with a spoon to ensure they are evenly coated with the sauce.
8. Cover the pot and simmer for 40 minutes, or until cooked through.
9. At the 30-minute mark, bring another pot of water to a boil for the pasta noodles.
10. Add oil or salt to the boiling water.
11. Cook pasta per instructions on the box.
12. Drain the pasta and add the ghee and pink salt to season.
13. Once meatballs are done, add to your gluten-free pasta and drizzle some of the bone broth tomato sauce for the perfect gluten-free pasta dish.
