Oh, the rollercoaster of brow shapes and trends. Whether you were a victim of extreme plucking in the ’90s or experimented with harsh over-lining in your early adulthood, it’s safe to say we’ve all had our own unique journey in the eyebrow department.
Fast-forward to present day, and full and natural brows are the way to a covetable no-makeup makeup look (thank god). So what’s the secret to achieving that barely groomed yet perfectly bushy vibe? We’ve got you. Ahead, we’re sharing three tricks for your best brows.
Glossier Boy Brow
Price: $16
Why We Love It:
It’s a cult beauty product for good reason. It requires minimal effort and does its job. With only a few strokes, the creamy wax visibly thickens, shapes, and conditions your brows. It provides a flexible hold from morning to night, all within the 10 seconds it takes to brush on the grooming pomade. Plus, it’s dermatologist-tested and made without fragrance and alcohol (which means great brows sans the stress of unnecessary breakouts).
In order of effort required, here are our top three ways to maintain and train your beautiful brows.

Tip 1: Rethink the way you’re brushing.
The pattern is key here, and the trick is to brush starting at the tail using your preferred shade of Boy Brow, and work your way to the fullest part of your brow. This way you’ll stroke the hairs upward to achieve a fuller look. With the help of the buildable and flexible pomade, you can sculpt your arch and make sure the front of your brow is balanced. The result? Fluffy brows without annoying flakes or that uncomfortable crunchy feeling.
Tip 2: The two-step trimming technique.
Pesky stragglers will completely throw off the appearance of brows. Luckily, a few snips using beauty scissors will make all the difference. Step one: Use the wand to brush all your brow hair up. Wait one minute to allow the product to dry. Step two: Grab your mini scissors and carefully trim. The creamy wax will help keep your brows in place so you can easily clip the strands that are out of place.
Tip 3: Shape while you sleep.
OK, this may sound wild, but our CCO, Sarah Howard, swears by this method. Before you go to bed, using Boy Brow in Clear, sculpt your brows to your desired shape. Then, place a silk glam band over your brows (tight enough so it won’t move but loose enough to where you can still relax). Keep it on for an hour every night and repeat this habit for at least three months. By doing this, it trains your brows to grow up and flat.
