An energy orgasm seems super cryptic and unattainable, but thankfully, not so. In a way, all orgasms are an explosion, or release, of pent-up energy. In order to experience the full nature of an energy orgasm, we have to dig deep into the divine feminine within us all. Clinical sexologist, orgasm consultant, and interdisciplinary healing practitioner Nikki Morgan, otherwise known as The Orgasm Whisperer, unsurprisingly knows a thing or two about how to understand and achieve them.
“In my work, I acknowledge that sexual energy is creator energy. From this perspective, it allows for the opportunity to create from the core of our pleasure or the center of our arousal. Therefore, an energy orgasm would be a build-up and release (or as I like to refer to it, surrender) to our pleasure.”
To what, pray tell, are we surrendering? Morgan goes on to explain, “We are putting aside all of what we hold in our mind—emotional and physical behaviors—that over-identify in the material world. This gives way to the ecstatic nature of our energetic and primordial (basic) way of being.” Yes. That means orgasmic is our natural state of being. It’s our right.
Sex is stress-relieving, sure. But as Morgan expresses, “An energy orgasm offers an opportunity to let the body relax and come off of its sympathetic system to allow space to feel all that we are in and that’s around us by way of our parasympathetic system.” Next-level relaxation is an opener for the mind and creativity.
Just like the common orgasm we experience through self-pleasuring and physical connection to others, we are able to shut down our internal critic when we have a full-bodied energy orgasm. It also “offers a cocktail of very pleasurable hormones, and engages our meditative and manifest brain waves.” We essentially reprogram our mind with the release of energy. In Morgan’s words, we are able to “feel arousal from our core; it is a driving force for all that we wish to connect to and create.”
So we quite literally beg the question, how do we do it? Morgan understands that it may seem like a mystical thing. “The truth is, being human is all mystical and magical. While there are many ways to access your energy orgasm, I suggest an orgasmic breathing exercise that I share publicly. This breathing exercise is just a basic start to far more advanced energetic and pleasurable play with our Youniverse.” Or should we say, yoni-verse.
For those of us familiar with Qigong, this will feel similar. Morgan instructs us to “take a deep breath in, expanding your solar plexus [deep belly breathing around the pit of the stomach and the heart]. Breathe out slowly and squeeze your kegel muscle upon the out breath. If you find meditation or calming the body to be difficult, do a few rounds of this and follow the feeling of your energy rising. You may feel tingles in your fingers and arms or even heat in varying parts of your body.”
Don’t give up. Morgan encourages, “If you have challenges, be patient for your transcendent pleasure. It is worth it. This exercise helps to move old, unprocessed emotions and beliefs that create resistance in your world. It boosts awareness and trust. Through my private client experience, even depression diminishes with regular practice of this exercise.” We’re obviously going to try it daily.
Everyone will experience this type of orgasm differently, and it can be a great precursor to single or partner play. Use it to release, to gain creativity, or to spiritually grow. The orgasm is your oyster.
Nikki Morgan holds Orgasmic Manifestation Series workshops to perfect the craft and become deeply connected to our own intimacy and how it manifests in the rest of the body, the mind, and in life. This might be a new favorite way to transcend.
