Feeling lethargic? Try one of these chaga-based beverages. Ahead, we’re sharing three ways to incorporate the ingredient into your daily routine. “Chaga is an adaptogen known for its anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. Adaptogens work by bringing the body back into homeostasis. For example, if you feel drained, they can boost your energy levels; if you feel anxious, adaptogens can bring a sense of relaxation,” one of our amazing recipe contributors, Nikki Elisheva, shares (along with her delicious chaga hot chocolate concoction—see below).

Learn this recipe plus two other ways to add the natural caffeine alternative to your morning or afternoon ritual.

Recipe 1:

Iced Chagaccino Recipe

Recipe Type:Beverage
Dietary Info:Gluten-Free, Vegan, Keto
Serving Size:1
Prep Time:5 mins
Total Time:5 mins

Ingredients:

1 pack of Renude Chagaccino RTD Powder
1 teaspoon cacao powder
Dash of cinnamon
1 teaspoon monk fruit sweetener or 2 drops stevia
Cup of homemade macadamia nut milk

Instructions:

1) Combine all dry ingredients together plus the sweetener, then mix into macadamia milk.
2) Serve over ice.

*If you drink coffee, you can also add 1-2 shots of espresso (but Kourt drinks it without coffee).

3-Minute Hot Chocolate with Chaga

Recipe Type: Beverage
Dietary Info:Vegan, Gluten-Free
Serving Size:2
Prep Time:2 minutes
Total Time:3 minutes

Ingredients:

1.5 cups boiling water
1 pack of Renude Chagaccino RTD Powder
1 cup oat milk
2 teaspoons cacao powder
1/2 tablespoon maple syrup
**Can also use almond milk for this recipe.
**For low calorie and low carb, use monk fruit maple syrup

Instructions:

1. Boil water and add in chaga powder.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk them together.
3. Enjoy!

Sweet Tip: For an extra creamy consistency, add a teaspoon of coconut butter.

Protein-Packed Smoothie

Recipe Type:Smoothie
Dietary Info:Gluten-Free and Vegan
Serving Size:2
Total Time:2 minutes

Ingredients:

1.5 cups unsweetened almond or coconut milk
1 pack of Renude Chagaccino RTD Powder
1 cup raw spinach
1 heaping tablespoon cashew butter
1/4 frozen banana
1/4 cup blackberries
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon flax meal
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 tablespoon coconut butter
1 handful of ice

Instructions:

1. Add liquid to a blender.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Blend until a smooth, creamy consistency.
4. Pour into two cups and enjoy with your reusable straw.
