No gym membership, no problem. No workout facility at your hotel, don’t sweat it. Kourt’s trainer, Amanda Lee, is here to share six small things you can do in the comfort of your own house (or hotel room) to help stay in shape. Keep these no-fuss exercises in rotation the next time you’re traveling or put your ClassPass membership on hold.
Upper body dips using the bath
“Dips are great for toning your triceps—the muscles in the back of your arms that can get super flabby if you neglect them. Triceps are always my main focus when training arms.” Kourt loves to do this move before bed or while her bath is warming up.
“Squats are one of the best booty exercises you can do, period. Doing squats daily will tone, tighten, and strengthen your butt and leg muscles. This workout provides major benefits without taking up too much of your time.”
100 jumping jacks before the shower
“Jumping jacks are amazing cardio. They help you burn fat quickly due to their high intensity.”
Push-ups off of a coffee table
“Push-ups are the most important exercise for total upper body strength. They not only work your chest and triceps, but also strengthen your back and core. At the same time, they will help firm up your breasts and improve your posture.”
1-minute plank in your bedroom
“Planks are one of the best options for strengthening and toning your core. They burn more calories than traditional sit-ups, as well as help to reduce lower back pain.”
Donkey kicks while watching TV
“Donkey kicks are a simple yet effective movement to tighten and tone your booty. I love them because they really isolate your glutes.”
Now that you have the at-home moves (or exercises – you choose) to keep your figure fit, be sure to carve out the time to try each set.
