How to Make a  DE-BLOATING SMOOTHIE

Feeling bloated? We feel you. To alleviate the discomfort in your belly, try sipping on our refreshing and detoxifying smoothie. Ahead we’re highlighting the benefits of each ingredient and how to make the simple de-bloating combination below.

Pineapple:
We added pineapple to the smoothie because it is known to help with digestion thanks to an enzyme called bromelain.

Papaya:
If you’re wondering why we included papaya in our recipe, it’s because of the papain, which is an enzyme that aids in the digestion of fiber and protein and is naturally found in papaya fruit.

Cucumber:
Because cucumber is rich in potassium, it’s able to block any bloating side effects from sodium. It will also add a light refreshing taste to your smoothie.

Ginger and turmeric:
Both ginger and turmeric are anti-inflammatory, which will help reduce your bloat in no time.

De-Bloating Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients: 

1/2 pineapple, peeled and cored
1/4 papaya, peeled and pitted
1/2 cucumber
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh ginger, finely chopped
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 cups coconut water
Ice
*Note: you can make this without ice if your fruit is frozen already

You can also drop in a packet of this supplement for added de-bloating benefits.

Instructions:

1. Add pineapple, papaya, cucumber, ginger, turmeric, coconut water, and ice into a blender.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Enjoy!
