Golde
When and why did you start your company?
“I co-founded Golde in January 2017 with my partner (and high school sweetheart!) Issey. We were both just 23 at the time. I started Golde because I believed that self-care could be fun and easy for everyone—we wanted to create a voice and a product offering that felt truly inclusive and feel-good for the next generation of wellness.”

Jentl
When and why did you start your company?
“Officially, June 3, 2019. Prior to Jentl, there was gentle. I had a true need to reconnect internally that was raw, transparent, and vulnerable. At the time, I was working full time, carrying a full course load, and balancing an internship on the side. I’d been practicing check-ins for a while and decided to create a physical product that I could incorporate into my daily life that reminded me to breathe, to slow down, and to nurture the relationship I carry with myself and others. Jentl became the tool I used to find my footing, and essentially my voice. That’s what makes Jentl stand tall all on its own. It’s far more than a product; it’s a tool.”

Zena Foster Beauty
Founder, Zena Foster
Zena Foster
When and why did you start your company?
“I started Zena Foster Beauty in 2017. I started ZFB basically out of necessity, but really it was inevitable since I spent my early years in my mom’s salon. I had the beauty bug early watching how she made people feel beautiful and confident. In my case, I had active kids and was trying to run a house while my husband was on the road. I loved the spa but didn’t always have the moments to make time for myself. So, taking the best things that I loved from the spa experience and being able to do them at home was a must. And that’s how I started Zena Foster Beauty.”

The Established
Founder, Essence Iman
Essence Iman
When and why did you start your company?
“I founded The Established in 2017, but 2020 was really our breakout year. This past year is when we really came alive. The Established grew out of a specific need. I was desperate for a solution to my long-standing frustrations with KP (keratosis pilaris, which are those annoying rough bumps behind your arms and legs). It’s something that’s embarrassed me my whole life! I was insecure about rubbing my legs up against someone in bed or how dotty my legs looked when I went to the beach—it was a real pain point for me.”
