A chocolate shake that’s protein-packed and easy to make? Sign. Us. Up. This recipe was created by Yalda Alaoui, founder of gut health platform Eat Burn Sleep.

It’s delicious and packed with micro- and macronutrients. Read on to learn the full ingredient list (plus all the health benefits) and the step-by-step instructions. 

The benefits:

Flaxseeds: rich in omega-3 (anti-inflammatory), supports regular bowel movements, rich in fiber.
Collagen hydrolysate: rich in protein and L-glutamine, which help rebuild the gastrointestinal lining and support gut health. 
Plant protein powder: source of protein supporting stable blood sugar levels, making you feel satisfied and reducing cravings. 
Raw cacao: packed with antioxidants, natural anti-inflammatory properties, rich in potassium, shown to increase insulin sensitivity, reducing insulin resistance and the risk of diabetes. 
Cinnamon: a natural sweetener shown to support stable blood sugar levels.

Chocolate Anti-Cravings Shake

Ingredients:

8 oz unsweetened almond milk (8 oz water + 1 tablespoon any nut butter)
1 scoop/portion plant-based chocolate protein
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon flaxseeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Pure stevia to taste
3 ice cubes
1 tablespoon collagen hydrolysate powder (optional)

Instructions:

1. Place all the ingredients in your blender. 
2. Blend for 2 to 3 minutes. 
3. Serve, sip slowly, and enjoy!
